Our Beautiful Posters Celebrate International Respect for Chickens Day/Month in Washington, DC

United Poultry Concerns is delighted to share with you photos of our beautiful “What Wings Are For! Give a Cluck. Go Vegan!” ads that ran at 14 Bike Share locations in Washington, DC. Washington, DC is ideal for reaching thousands of residents, commuters and out-of-town tourists with our message. We ran them through the entire month of May in honor of our annual International Respect for Chickens Day May 4/month of May campaign. They even installed them a few days early at no extra charge!
Also, for three days, starting on International Respect for Chickens Day, May 4th, we hired a truck to drive around downtown Washington, DC for 8 hours each day and display our ads “What Wings Are For! Life Can Be Beautiful Go Vegan!” and “Kindness is Contagious - Live Vegan - Wash Your Hands of Animal Suffering.”

Begun in 2005 to celebrate chickens throughout the world and protest their use in farming operations, and in all violent enterprises including cockfighting and laboratory experiments, International Respect for Chickens Day urges activists to do a special COMPASSIONATE ACTION for chickens in May and – needless to say – every day! We gratefully accept tax-deductible donations to support our outdoor posters in selected cities each year. $30,000 per city for one month brings our message to thousands of people – in May on behalf of Chickens, in November on behalf of Turkeys!
